KAYLA McSORLEY
Kayla is a French-Canadian Actor, Singer and Dancer from Ottawa, ON now residing in Buffalo, NY/Fort Erie. She is a graduate of Niagara University, NY, where she received a BFA in Theatre Performance and a BA in French. Since acquiring her degree, she has worked internationally spreading joy to many as a performer, arts administrator, educator and choreographer. Since the pandemic, Kayla has been specializing in commercial styles of song & dance which has lead her to shine in musicals like SIX (Boleyn/Cleves/Parr)*, Legally Blonde (Serena) and The Prom (Kaylee). Still, she is an actor first and loves collaborating on shows that dive even deeper into storytelling such as Julius Caesar (Brutus), Come From Away (Janice) and Islander the Musical (Arran). When not on stage, Kayla can be found working on Commercials, Film & TV gigs as a proud member of The Meus Talent Agency in Canada.
Though she always loved to sing, Kayla wasn't introduced to the concept of a musical until the age of 18! She grew up as an elite athlete (A/AA Ice Hockey and Division 1 Volleyball) with a constant itch to incorporate art and music into her daily routine.
When she discovered theatre and was accepted into a post-secondary performing arts program, she knew she was destined to become a real life "Troy Bolton"! It instantly became her passion and career choice that has flourished over the last decade.

MOTHERHOOD THE MUSICAL - LOWER OSSINGTON THEATRE

THE LAST FIVE YEARS - PARED DOWN PRODUCTIONS
“Kayla McSorley plays the role of Cathy in a way that is very relatable. McSorley does a great job portraying this character with passion and pain.
Her emotions come through in her singing and stage presence, and she does a great job assisting in the overall painting of this painful picture being presented to the audience of a young married couple. An extremely enjoyable production with two talented actors.”
